Jackie Robinson and The American ExperienceThis essay did two things. First, I used I Never Had It Made to analyze Robinson’s relationship and involvement with three of historical events/themes. One of the three from before 1945, and the other two from the years after 1945. II was able to briefly summarize/explain each historical event/theme using class notes and readings, and then use specific evidence from I Never Had It Made to discuss how Robinson experienced or interacted with that theme and (if possible) how Robinson’s experience compares with other people and groups.Second, along with discussing Robinson’s involvement with three historical themes, selected one contemporary trend in American society and discussed what I thought Jackie Robinson would think about it if he were alive today using evidence from the book to make my case.
Relational Dialectics In this essay, I explained one Interpersonal Communication Theory and applied its key axioms to my own life experiences.
Rhetorical Process Used in Rap MusicI selected a rhetorical artifact that represents a rhetorical problem that is both interesting to myself and publicly significant (based on evidence of its popularity, uniqueness, influence, historical context, etc.).
